Ruth finds her inspiration in her travels and all around in everyday life. Using nature’s forms and colours, she infuses her furniture art with colour, textures, enhanced shapes and play. Bold colours and playful expression come together to create one of a kind pieces of livable art. At Studio 1867 we fuse modern fabric printing technology with the old world aesthetics of vintage furniture, producing fabrics and wallpapers as well. We work directly with our clients to find the best fit for their spaces and lifestyles. We do commissioned custom pieces as well as apply our own sense of play and colour on found treasures. We do the whole process in house, from the design of the fabric to completion of the upholstery, allowing us full control of the stunning
end result.
